DeleteFrom Peter Hitchens on Twitter today:
ReplyDeleteFour years ago, @danny__kruger was a loyal Tory and came to a debate in Manchester to tell me I was wrong to despise the 'Conservative' Party. Tory Party was no worse then than it is now. I wonder what changed?
Four years ago Mr Kruger publicly sneered at me for attacking the Tories, whose loyal servant he then was. I was saying, far sooner and more articulately, what he now claims to believe. Timing is all.
"What is Reform conservative about?"
Delete"Well, I agree that the Tory Party no longer offers much of a career."
Reform UK are Tories 2.0
ReplyDeleteHere's a list of former Conservative MPs that are now members of Reform UK:
Maria Caulfield
Danny Kruger
Andrea Jenkyns
Aidan Burley
Alan Amos
Nadine Dorries
David Jones
Sir Jake Berry
Graham Simpson
Adam Holloway
Anne Marie Morris
Marco Longhi
Ross Thomson
Lee Anderson
Then there's the hundreds of councillors ...
And there is never the slightest suggestion that they had changed their minds, or should have done.
