Cause To Pause?

Lord Alli has voted in the House of Lords precisely three times in this Parliament, all on 11 September, and all in support of the means-testing of the Winter Fuel Payment.

Still, at least he cannot be a non-dom, since those have been banned since 2010 from sitting in the House of Lords, thereby conceding the point that the whole arrangement was as dodgy as hell.

The abolition of non-domiciled tax status would be a moral imperative even if that abolition did not raise a penny, or even if it cost more than it raised. That abolition would make the United Kingdom uncompetitive with where, exactly?

Those who defend this fiddle do not normally take such a view of people who maintained allegiances to foreign countries, not even when those were purely cultural, such as in relation to cricket, never mind when they involved depriving His Majesty's Exchequer of revenue.

Time Off For Good Behaviour?

Visit Britain, where you would run absolutely no risk of meeting Elon Musk. You may, however, meet some other unsavoury characters. Having barely kept her seat in a landslide for her party, the Justice Secretary should now either resign or be sacked. And heaven knows what this business about Texas is supposed to be. You already get time off for good behaviour, including completing courses and so on. Unsolicited, 75 per cent was knocked off my time less a fortnight after I had been sent down. "Good behaviour," it said. Nothing to do with my enemies' having just lost control of Durham County Council, less than a mile from my cell. Oh, no. Oh no, indeed.

Still, whatever this "Texan-style" thing is, we can all guess who is going to be awarded the contract for it. Just as Reform UK moves away from being the private property of one man, the Labour Party turns out to have become that, but without the tedious paperwork. Lord Alli did not give Siobhan McDonagh £1.2 million to look after the dying Margaret. He loaned it. That was not kindness or friendship. It was putting yet another Labour politician in his debt.

Other families with illness or disability cannot dream of such provision. Although the Government itself says that there is no fraud whatever in relation to sickness and disability benefits, which I can assure you are extremely difficult to get, those in receipt of them are still to be beaten like workshy dogs. If four million people are on those benefits, then at least four million people need them, and that should be the story. If you doubt that, then try getting them. Repeatedly and without success, I have done so. While some disability benefits, the ones for which I have applied in my time, allow for and even encourage jobs, no one on those which did not is going into work. As what? Employed by whom? Yet look at the manner of life of the people who are preparing to perpetrate these atrocities. If Keir Starmer's Kentish Town townhouse was ever besieged by the media, then there would be photographs and footage. Where are they? And give over about "not using his son against him". It was Starmer who brought the boy into it. A boy who, at 16, Starmer had at that time wanted to be of voting age.

Justice Delayed: Day 92

Even assuming, and it was far from clear, that the Crown had presented any evidence whatever on the morning of Wednesday 19 June, then no later than the afternoon of Thursday 20 June, I would have been found not guilty unanimously in the time that it took to walk to the jury room and send a note to the judge. On Monday 6 November, the only Prosecution witness did not turn up, having been suspended from the Police. Since then, he has been "asked to resign" because of his conduct of my case. On Friday 14 June, my barrister formally complained.

Lo and behold, on the morning of Sunday 16 June, enough Police Officers turned up at my door to take down an al-Qaeda cell, and behaved roughly as if that were what they were doing. Everyone is laughing, and not at me. Late that night, a nonsense additional charge, quite different from the stated grounds of the arrest, was added, with no expectation that it could possibly stick, but in order to postpone what would have been that week's open-and-shut acquittal. Be at Durham Crown Court on Wednesday 26 February 2025, almost exactly two years, although we dispute the timeline, after the original complaint was allegedly made. When I shall be found not guilty. But the process is the punishment.

Rather than embarrass itself any further, the Crown did not even ask for me to be remanded. Nor did it dispute that the Police had found nothing on my laptop or on my phone, even though the latest allegation therefore cannot be true. And nor did it dispute that its only witness had been sacked from the Police because of my case, or that this latest action against me was a revenge attack for my barrister's complaint, both of which are now on Monday 17 June's record of Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court, as is the cleanliness of my devices, of which the Police are nevertheless keeping possession, requiring me to replace them at considerable expense.

I wish that my solicitor had used such terms as "Mafia hit" and "punishment beating". I am using them now. This is a punishment beating for the sacked policeman. And it is a Mafia hit by some Fredo Corleone, because the latest complaint was supposedly made before I had withdrawn from the General Election, a withdrawal that has rendered it pointless in its own terms. Other than the unpaid position to which I was elected unopposed well over a year ago, and which has therefore been kept vacant ever since, I have no intention of contesting another election to public office.

Welcome to the Starmer State, which institutional Britain has treated as the status quo since Keir Starmer became Labour Leader. I am not the only dissident that it persecutes, and things are already getting an awful lot worse now that Starmer is Prime Minister.
