The S Word

The word "Socialism" means totally different things to different people, in different countries, in different languages, and so on.

I believe in strengthening families and communities by securing economic equality and international peace through the democratic political control of the means to those ends, including national and parliamentary sovereignty.

That struggle needs to be led by those who suffered most as a result of economic inequality, namely the working class, and by those who suffered most as a result of international conflict, namely the working class and the youth.

Put any label you like on that, but to me it just is what it is.

  1. It means either whatever the person speaking thinks or whatever they hate, so best avoided.
