In The Strongest Terms

The Haldane Society is independent, but it is pretty much the club for Labour lawyers. Keir Starmer was very prominent in it until he was made Director of Public Prosecutions. Last night, it resolved that it would expel him if he were still a member, and that it would not let him back in if he asked. Gosh.

Labour is on 38 per cent, which is less than it got at the 2017 General Election, when it still did not win. The local elections will confirm that Starmer is demonstrably worse than his predecessor. And there was plenty wrong with his predecessor. Not least, Jeremy Corbyn capitulated to Starmer on Brexit. The Red Wall fell largely because of Starmer. Now the Black Wall is going to fall, entirely because of Starmer.
